Weapons in Helldivers 2 are a bit of a mixed bag. Some are amazing, enabling the player to easily shred through hordes of enemies in the ****** for Democracy. Others are not as effective. This requires the player to engage in a lot of trial and error before discovering the preferred loadout.

The latest Helldivers 2 Major Order has sent the Helldivers to the Super Colony of Meridia, where they will be surrounded by hostile creatures. The only solution is to hit them before they hit you. Now, one might want to hit hard, but it seems a ******* designed for that very purpose is not working as intended!

Most gamers familiar with shooter titles will know there is a **** for every occasion. But this is not always the case. Even weapons that appear to be perfectly suited for the occasion may end up being useless in this situation. Such is the case with the Airburst Rocket Launcher in Meridia.

With the new Major Order pitting the Helldivers against flying enemies, one would think an armament that explodes mid-air would help to thin the herd. Unfortunately, as Redditor TheProgramer64 has shown, this is far from the truth.

Instead of cutting through the airborne Shriekers, it seems nearly ineffective at taking them down. Considering the insane spawn rate that has the Helldivers 2 community up in arms, one would hope that a massive damage dealer such as the Airburst Rocket would be a handy tool.

Thankfully, the community has banded together and offered a potential solution: the trusty Flamethrower! Redditor Then_Inspection9750 suggested to hip-***** the ******* into the air, resulting in some Meridian-fried Shriekers.

The suggestion may be effective, but it doesn’t help solve the larger issue. If people start to rely on only a handful of guns, it makes the game stale, with matches starting to feel the same. Arrowhead needs to rebalance the weapons to make sure all of them have their use cases to ensure gameplay ******** engaging.

There’s more issues than useless rockets in the game.

The studio may be releasing new Warbonds and Major Orders regularly, but some issues must be addressed for the game to be a solid experience. The community has faced several issues during Operation: Enduring Earth, leading the studio to release a patch to fix many of the issues. But new ones keep cropping up that demand attention.

Arrowhead is aware there are several issues within the game, some really big ones, that must be addressed. The issue is, as elaborated by a community manager on Discord, the team will need to be greatly divided to address these big issues. This could affect the output of monthly Warbonds, which the team is not ready to do.

This move has been criticized by the community, stating that the studio has set unrealistic targets for itself. Many have expressed that they would rather have the existing issues fixed before new content is added to ensure a consistent gaming experience.
