Insomniac Games Took a Day Off From Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 DLC Development to Savagely Remind Everyone of the First Game’s Saddest Moment

One of the greatest exclusive titles from Insomniac Games is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. According to rumors and the main story of the game, the studio should be working on a DLC for the title. This title has proven to be a very solid franchise for the PlayStation.

Rather than focusing on the game’s expansion, the studio chose to make a bizarre joke on social media about Aunt May’s fate in the previous entry. Sony hasn’t announced any news about this upcoming Spider-Man DLC that could be in development; fans are waiting for some clues.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 DLC has not appeared, and Insomniac is making weird jokes.

Spider-Man 2 leaves the door open for more content regarding the other infamous symbiote, Carnage. In a series of secondary missions, the popular alter ego of this creature is included in the game.

Insomniac Games has already made three titles inside this game’s universe, focusing on two versions of Spidey, Peter Parker, and Miles Morales, both with unique and powerful variations of the same power.

Fans are hoping that this year Insomniac Games will announce something about this content, but with one of the latest posts on X/

from the studio, it seems that the energy is going to make bad-taste jokes about Aunt May on social media.

This joke mentions the fate of this iconic character in the most peculiar way possible, prompting a quick response from fans who don’t understand why they would make such a joke.

Aunt May was part of a weird joke from the studio and fans think it should be focusing on the DLC.

The studio has yet to confirm that it is working on this long-awaited DLC. The first game of Spidey had three major DLCs with their own stories and new characters to defeat. Miles Morales did not receive an expansion and the exclusive that launched last year has not yet confirmed additional content.

Fans are asking almost every day for some kind of news regarding this possible Carnage content. PlayStation’s community knows that the studio is also working on the Wolverine game that will probably be released at some point next year.

However, posting such a joke on the studio’s official social media was a poor decision, particularly given its lack of humor. The fans responded with memes, and they were so shocked by this kind of post that it made no sense. In the latest State of Play, none of the big studios from Sony appeared to introduce new content or even a glimpse of an upcoming title.

Sony has already said that this year it will not release any big AAA games. The gaming giant is expected to launch more games in 2025, but the company has not made any mention of when these new IPs will be announced. Fans are hoping to see what will come next.
