Silent Hill 2 fans will have plenty to sink their teeth into, with a remake and a movie adaptation underway. Earlier this week, Konami released abe released brand-new look and peek behind the curtains to the upcoming Return to Silent Hill movie, which will bring the series’ second installment to the silver screen.

Opinions on both the remake and the movie are divided and rather lukewarm. However, it appears that many are more hopeful for the movie than the remake of the game.

Konami Reveals New Look at Return to Silent Hill

During the transmission live stream on May 30, Konami showed snippets of the upcoming movie Return to Silent Hill in a behind-the-scenes video featuring commentary by director Christophe Gans, and producer Victor Hadida.

Shortly after the transmission, a teaser trailer for the movie was published. However, it was subsequently deleted for unknown reasons. This hasn’t stopped fans from sharing their opinions about the movie and making comparisons to the upcoming Silent Hill 2 Remake on social media.

The Silent Hill 2 Remake just received a new trailer and gameplay footage.

During May’s PlayStation State of Play, fans were treated to a new Silent Hill 2 Remake trailer, along with a release date scheduled for October 8 this year. The reception within the community has been mixed, with many lamenting the character models and graphics.

However, this isn’t all that has players worried. To modernize the game, the team is making significant changes to the gameplay, which could change its overall feel. The team is switching up the combat system for the remake, turning the action up a notch and giving James better combat skills.
