The long-awaited question about Soap’s return in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Season 4 has finally been answered.

A trailer for the new season was released on May 20th, which featured Soap. Fans have been wondering if he’s truly back from the *****, or is there more to it? With the revelation of when exactly Season 4 takes place, we now have an answer.

Soap was a supporting character in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and 3.

As it turns out, the mission in the trailer takes place in 2022, before the events of Modern Warfare III. This means that Soap is indeed *****.

Season 4 of MW3 takes place prior to the events of the game’s campaign, which means Soap is still technically ***** in the game’s overall story.

Season 4 intro had May 22, 2022 as the date of the operation.

John “Soap” MacTavish is a beloved, fan-favorite character in both the original and the rebooted Modern Warfare series. He made his debut as the playable character in Modern Warfare (2007) before becoming a supporting character in Modern Warfare 2 (2009). He once again made his debut in the reboot trilogy as a playable character in Modern Warfare II (2022) and Modern Warfare III (2023).

He made a huge impact in the original Modern Warfare trilogy, and fans were pretty heartbroken when he met his untimely end in Modern Warfare 3 (2011). Unfortunately, he once again met his demise in the campaign of Modern Warfare III (2023).

His sudden ****** was highly criticized as it wasn’t very well done and just felt like it was done for shock value rather than serving a narrative purpose and being emotional and meaningful. Modern Warfare III’s rushed development resulted in an undercooked campaign that was highly disliked by fans of the reboot trilogy.

Everything That’s New in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 4

Season 4 lineup is looking pretty good.

Two new maps will be added to the game: Tokyo and Paris. These will be available from the start of Season 4, and two more maps are on the way later in the season, including Incline and Das ******.
The season also introduces several new game modes to keep things interesting, such as Demolition, Hyper Cranked, Cache, Mutation, Headshots Only, and Havoc.

The beloved Kar98k marksman rifle is making a comeback, which will be available through the Season 4 battle pass. You can also unlock the Superi 46 submachine **** and the Reclaimer 18 shotgun as part of the battle pass and later in the season as well.

There are also some impressive new Killstreaks in Season 4. The Loitering Munition, available for eight ****** or 1,000 score, is an unmanned drone that hovers over targeted areas and launches rockets at the highest concentration of enemies. The Intelligent Munitions System, or I.M.S., is another addition for seven ****** or 875 score. It deploys four smart explosives that target and eliminate enemies and vehicles within range.

There are also new perks to customize your loadout. The Mission Control Vest reduces the number of ****** needed by one and score required by 125 for your ***** streaks, giving you quicker access to powerful abilities. The Compression Plate gear perk lets you regenerate health instantly after getting a ***** with your Primary or Secondary.
