Helix: Descent N Ascent revealed

Belgium-based Badass Mongoose has unveiled Helix: Descent N Ascent with a reveal trailer showing off gameplay. It’s billed as an atmospheric adventure game heading to both the Nintendo Switch and PC.

Featuring a non-linear path that you can tread at your own pace, puzzles to solve, and hidden secrets to uncover, it has a little bit for anyone with adventure blood in them. It also features an eye-catching ****** and white 4K art style inspired by 80s indie comics and 90s manga. Alongside its graphics, it also has an “atmospheric soundtrack.” If that didn’t get you interested, perhaps its reveal trailer will.

Helix: Descent N Ascent tasks you with unearthing the fate of a lost civilization, collecting artifacts, and enjoying the “tale interwoven with threads of melancholy and the undying spirit of the past.” The game will apparently make you confront your perspectives of identity, solitude, and emotions.

To do all that, though, you must traverse the realm with five abilities that can be combined into 25 different uses. At this point, we have no clue when Helix will launch, only that it will be sometime in 2025.
