Honkai: Star Rail is teasing a powered-up version of a classic boss for its new "Apocalyptic Shadow" game mode, expected to launch in Version 2.3. The sci-fi RPG has seen plenty of major additions to the game since the release of Penacony as its newest in-game world.

received its newest world with the addition of World 9 featuring "Something Unto ******" as its main boss, while events have added mini-games like Cosmodyssey. Now, Version 2.3 will reportedly heavily focus on endgame content.
