Even Johan Pilestedt Admitted One Warbond Had the Nastiest Guns and Arrowhead Should Have Done Better

Earlier this month, the Helldivers 2 community finally got the Polar Patriots Warbond but it left many players disappointed. The Warbond featured three new primary weapons but unfortunately, they were underpowered. Overall, the Warbond was a huge letdown and players have made it clear on social media that Arrowhead should add new gear, weapons, and Stratagems if they want to save the game from dying.

One player directly approached Johan Pilestedt, former CEO of Arrowhead, to talk about the Warbond, and it seems like Pilestedt is aware of this problem. Recently, Pilestedt announced that he is stepping down as the CEO of Arrowhead but his new position in the company, Chief Creative Officer, will allow him to focus more on the company’s games, particularly Helldivers 2.

Recently, a Helldivers 2 player listed out some problems in Helldivers 2 that many players have been complaining about for the past few weeks. First, the player highlighted that armors should have actual interesting stats as most of them are just copies. Second, the player pointed out that all the weapons in the Polar Patriots Warbond were mediocre, except the G-13 Incendiary Impact grenade. Lastly, the player asked if the Automatons and Terminids would ******* other planets instead of moving in a straight line.

by saying that he agreed with all the points. It seems like Pilestedt is aware of the problem but they need to act on it quickly because Helldivers 2 is losing a lot of its fanbase. The Polar Patriots Warbond, which dropped on 9th May, featured three new primary weapons: AR-61 Tenderizer, SMG-72 Pummeler, and PLAS-101 Purifier.

that he is stepping down as the CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios. Shams Jorjani took over his position at the studios, while Pilestedt has taken the position of Chief Creative Officer. This is good news for the fans as this new position will allow Pilestedt to spend more time with the creative team and focus more on Arrowhead’s video games.

This decision comes shortly after Arrowhead and Sony received backlash from PC players for the PSN account linking policy. The policy was revoked but Helldivers 2 lost a lot of players. Many players believe that an Xbox release will instantly save Helldivers 2 but it’s nearly impossible since Sony has funded and published the game.

Helldivers 2 is available on Windows and PlayStation 5.
