Walyalup’s Sam Switkowski has revealed unlikely forward Alex Pearce had predicted he “would be ready” if the ball came to him inside 50 ahead of their nail-biting draw with Collingwood.

After an emotional fortnight in the wake of the tragic passing of friend and ex-teammate Cam McCarthy, Pearce was catapulted up the field with the Dockers trailing late.
