Countless Call of Duty fans have yet to upgrade their systems, and there’s nothing wrong with that. The last generation of consoles—PlayStation 4 and Xbox One—were fantastic and often much cheaper than current-gen systems. But you also don’t want to miss out on the upcoming Call of Duty game. So, can you play ****** Ops 6 on PS4?

While we heard rumors last year regarding the next Call of Duty game launching on current-gen and last-gen systems, we can confirm that ****** Ops 6 is coming to PS4. It’s coming to most systems, including PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, in October 2024.

The Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions of Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 will offer cross-generation support, meaning you buy a single copy of the game, and it works on both systems, but PlayStation won’t offer the same compatibility. There are product listings at GameStop for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 copies.
