If server issues are confirmed on behalf of San Diego Studio, then all you play online is the waiting game. However, if other players are enjoying the game and you feel like Squidward watching Spongebob and Patrick having fun, then you can do the following to hopefully restore your connection:

• Restart your Router: this will allow internet bandwidth to be freed up and potentially solve any bugs that may be occurring in the background.
• Reboot your console to hopefully fix any issues that your device may be encountering.
• Close and reopen the game so that you can connect to the servers from scratch.
• Disable your VPN to prevent any connection slowdown.
• Use an Ethernet cable to maximize network stability.
• Reinstall the game.
