BHP iron ore division back on track as train drivers vote for new workplace deal

BHP’s crucial iron ore division has avoided strike actions in the near future after its train drivers voted for a new workplace agreement that will include $40,000 in bonus payments.

Mining and Energy Union WA secretary Greg Busson on Monday told The West *********** more than 97 per cent of its members voted to approve the new deal, which include annual pay rises of about 4 per cent plus an immediate $20,000 retention payment. Another $20,000 will be paid further down the track.
