Is XDefiant on Steam or Epic Games?

If you’re itching to play XDefiant on PC, the real question is whether you can play it on Steam or Epic Games. Depending on the publisher or developer, games on PC can be available through different marketplaces.

Unfortunately, XDefiant is not on Steam or Epic Games, but on Ubisoft Connect. Ubisoft games nowadays will be available to play on PC not through the usual Steam or Epic Games platforms, but through its own marketplace Ubisoft Connect.

Launching on May 21 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, you’ll have to download the Ubisoft Connect launcher if you’re planning on playing this free-to-play multiplayer FPS. There is an abundance of weapons to switch between, classes to learn, and fun to have with this new Ubisoft game.

The good news is that gamers eager to play XDefiant on launch can start preloading it now. This way, whenever XDefiant becomes available, you can jump right in instead of waiting for it to download.

The unfortunate thing is that you won’t be able to play XDefiant on your preferred launcher, whether it’s Steam or Epic Games. Ubisoft Connect still works similarly to these two marketplaces, allowing you to add friends, purchase Ubisoft games, and install them just like you would with Steam or Epic Games.

For anyone ready to hop in right at launch, you can expect to enter XDefiant on May 21 at 12 PM CT/1 PM ET/10 AM PT. Since this is an online multiplayer title, you can also expect annoying errors and glitches such as the Delta 1 error code. Hopefully, XDefiant will have a smooth launch and you easily find your way through the Ubisoft Connect launcher!
