added an option the community's been requesting since launch, and fans are rightfully stoked.

Just yesterday, the Last Rites update hit Ghost Recon Wildlands. Part of the 25th anniversary celebrations for the series, this introduces a new mission and a wealth of changes to the shooter, including several much-requested tweaks.

One such change is that you can select only having one primary weapon without being in ghost mode. Previously, players had to have two, regardless of their loadout selection or strategic approach, a choice that was wasteful at best and cumbersome at worst.

Being a nine-year-old game, Wildlands doesn't get many updates these days. In fact, it's been years since Ubisoft rolled out a substantial patch for the release, making this a very welcome surprise.

To make it even better, both Wildlands and its sequel, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, have free weekends going right now, August 7 through August 10. Perfect opportunity to enjoy the spoils of being able to select how many primary weapons you can carry - and the rest of the game too, I suppose.
