Diamond Member Steam 0 Posted May 21 Diamond Member Share Posted May 21 While most ghosts have been part of Phasmophobia’s lineup since the start, a few have been added in fresh updates over the years. One such ghost is the Aswang, introduced alongside the launch of the Alan Wake event. Since this ghost is much newer than most others, figuring out what makes it special and how you can spot it may be rather tricky. You likely have years of experience with the rest of the lineup, but with this one, you’ve got none, so here’s how to identify an Aswang in This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up . Because of this, it’s a good idea to keep an eye out for additional behaviors, patterns, and clues tied to this unique ghost. Here are all the extra details you can watch for. Cannot kill you in any official hiding spot ever. This includes locations like closets and lockers. Unofficial hiding spots don’t count, though, so you must be careful where you choose to hide to successfully evade it. If the Aswang detects and reaches you in a hiding spot, the hunt immediately ends. Can sometimes hunt with no grace *******. This can occur when the Aswang ends a hunt by detecting and reaching you in a hiding spot, as this then allows them to put a waypoint directly on the player’s location at the beginning of the next hunt, allowing them to then move to it at the start of the next one, even during the grace *******. Accelerates faster using line of sight than any other ghost, which means when it has you directly in its sights, you’re in big trouble. The Aswang’s line of sight speed increases at a rate of 0.0375 times its base speed per second instead of the usual 0.025, allowing it to reach its maximum speed of 2.53 meters per second after just 17.33 seconds instead of the usual 26 seconds required for other ghosts. Although the Aswang can move faster than any other ghost using line of sight, it otherwise has a slower base hunt speed. The Aswang’s base speed is 1.53 meters per second. If you’ve checked for all the official evidence and additional behaviors listed here but don’t think what you’re seeing quite lines up with an Aswang, it’s time to start checking for other possible culprits.
