Forza Horizon 6 is coming to PC and Xbox consoles worldwide, and you can get a few extra hours of gameplay if you're on the latter. The regional launch schedule for Xbox consoles allows you to try an age-old trick to start playing early.

Let's find out how to perform this trick (only on consoles).

How to play Forza Horizon 6 early with the New Zealand trick

The New Zealand method to play Forza Horizon 6 early applies to all available editions. Hence, you can try this today, on May 14, if you own the Premium Edition. If not, you can try it on May 18. This trick also applies only to standalone copies; tests to do this with Game Pass subscriptions don't seem to work as intended.

• Open your Xbox and load into the main console settings.
• You'll want to change the region of your console to New Zealand.
• You can also change the language to something applicable to New Zealand. This is an optional step.
• Restart your console.

When you open your console, you'll find that the date and time have changed to NZDT. While you're still very much located in a different country, the console thinks that you're in New Zealand. If it's past midnight in the Oceanic nation, you'll be able to play early (ignoring the regional time restrictions).

While the trick is pretty cool, you can't bypass the limitations of your Standard Edition using this method. If you truly want to enjoy extra hours of gameplay or you're playing on PC, the only proper option is to buy the Premium Edition.
