reported its earnings for the fiscal year and fourth fiscal quarter ended March 31 today, and it revealed more about upcoming games.

***** Sammy’s revenues for entertainment rose slightly, while overall revenues for the company were 487.5 billion yen, up from 428.9 billion yen a year ago. But profits dropped. Adjusted EBITDA fell from 62.2 billion yen a year ago to 16.6 billion yen for the year ended March 31, 2026. Next year, ***** Sammy forecasts growth to 510 billion yen in revenues and 64 billion yen in adjusted EBITDA.

***** Sammy said that its Rovio division, which is built around Angry Birds, saw a slowdown in fiscal year. For fiscal 2027, ***** Sammy said Rovio will continue the efforts toward a global games as a service, but it “will focus on its own restructuring first.”

The Japanese company also said that two free-to-play games (of three launched: Persona 5: The Phantom X, Sonic Rumble Party, and ***** Football Club Champions) missed their targets. Sonic Rumble Party failed to cash in on a collaboration with Rovio and was generally weak. ***** Sammy also said it decided to cancel Super Game.

The Angry Birds Movie 3 is coming in December 2026. Source: ***** Rovio’s sales peaked at 309 million euros in fiscal year March 2023, but by March 2027, than numbers is expected to fall to 158 million euros.

Rovio’s strategy continues to take the Angry Birds IP through various transmedia opportunities. The Angry Birds Movie 3 is slated for December 2026, while Angry Birds 2 will launch in mainland China and there will be new Angry Birds IP titles launching within the fiscal year.
