The Merchant mod for Resident Evil Requiem works about as you'd expect. Leon can still access the same inventory of guns and upgrades available in the base game, all with the comfort of the Merchant by his side.

The Merchant's voice lines are currently limited to just the one clip of him welcoming the player, but fanteeek said they hope to add more dialogue and animations in the future. This version of the character appears to be pulled from his appearance in the Resident Evil 4 remake. Until Capcom shows any interest in bringing him back for a new game, this Resident Evil Requiem mod might be your best bet.
