Though MGS preorders have yet to go live despite Konami's intended timeline, the regional lockout is identical. Just like Silent Hill: Townfall, the Master Collection Steelbook is strictly a European exclusive, keeping it out of the hands of US collectors.

For now, US fans of both Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid will be left hoping Konami eventually decides to bring these coveted Steelbooks stateside.

As showcased in the recent Silent Hill Transmission reveal trailer featured above, Townfall will utilize a first-person perspective. The footage also offered a glimpse at the arsenal and tools Simon will rely on to survive the mist-shrouded island, ranging from a standard handgun and a makeshift wooden plank to a mysterious portable CRTV that appears to play a crucial role in the gameplay.
