Diamond Member Steam 0 Posted April 13 Diamond Member Share Posted April 13 This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up The second season of Reign of the Talon is expanding the game beyond just content. Image via Blizzard The most notable improvement is undoubtedly the FPS boost, as both docked and handheld modes will now be able to maintain 60 fps in the game, allowing Nintendo players to have a competitive edge when facing gamers on stronger platforms, chiefly those on PC who are no strangers to 300+ fps in the game. "It’s a cleaner, crisper, portable version of Overwatch that still lets you play with your friends wherever you are," Blizzard said, adding that this new version is "a much stronger way to experience the game on your Nintendo Switch 2." Competitive games are always a bit tricky to port to more casual platforms like the Switch, as players over there generally receive subpar performance compared to others, and I hope this high-fps upgrade will help Nintendo players keep up with the rest of the crowd. Of course, crossplay can also be turned off on consoles (PC players are forced to fight everyone at all times), but I hope the move to a stronger device will ensure that that won't be necessary. Either way, Overwatch is launching the second season of Reign of the Talon, bringing along a ton of new and exciting stuff, chiefly a new hero, Sierra, who I believe will undoubtedly cause a major disturbance in the meta with her fast and lethal abilities.
