The Level-5 Craftsmanship livestream and a new trailer on April 10, 2026 provided new information on the highly-anticipated Professor Layton and the New World of Steam, revealing new features, story details, voice cast members, and perhaps most interestingly, that it will be a simultaneous worldwide release not just on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 but on PlayStation 5 and Steam. Between 2007 and 2013, the Professor Layton series released six mainline games and an anime movie, chronicling the adventures of Professor Hershel Layton and his assistant Luke Triton as they solved mysteries.
