Despite the rumblings, ******* Punch isn’t working on a Sly Cooper game, according to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier.

“Perfect Dark and Summer Game Mess update”, where Grubb speculated that ******* Punch could be working on a Sly Cooper game, which is causing Ghost of Tsushima 2 to take a long time to release. Speculating on Sly, Grubb said, “That’s speculation, but it’s definitely smoke out there, but maybe where there’s smoke, there’s *****.”

swooped in on the rumor to debunk it.

“No truth to this one, sorry to say. ******* Punch is a one-project studio. The reason Ghost of Tsushima 2 isn’t out yet is because AAA video games now take 5-7 years to make. (Also, ******* Punch is smaller than most other AAA game developers)”, he said.

As for if ******* Punch will ever make another Sly Cooper game ******** to be seen, but at the moment, the team is entirely focused on the next Ghost of Tsushima game.

The last mainline Sly Cooper game to be released was Thieves in Time in 2013 by Sanzaru Games. Despite the game featuring a secret ending alluding to a future installment, Sanzaru issued a statement in 2014 that the studio was not developing a new game in the series.
