After embarking on a search for his friend Wulbren Bongle, this hapless deep gnome suffers every manner of insult, and the party's intervention is necessary to stop him from dying over the course of the story. Even worse, Wulbren Bongle turns out to be a total jerk, leaving Barcus's noble efforts unappreciated.
