The Proof of a Hero is one of the hardest optional quests to complete in Monster Hunter Wilds, and the key is to unlock it first.

The secret behind unlocking the Proof of a Hero quest is hidden behind more side activities. However, there's an easy but tricky step you might miss. Let's look at how you can unlock the quest, along with what rewards await you as part of this challenging task.

How to unlock Proof of a Hero in Monster Hunter Wilds

Here are all the requirements of unlocking the Proof of a Hero event.

• Complete Freedom from Solitude. This permanent quest required you to defeat an Arch-Tempered Arkveld, and it's a 10-star quest (the highest difficulty). Naturally, this isn't a mean feat, and you will also need help from other hunters.
• Completing three 9-star hunts in the form of Tango of Lives Ablaze, Serenade of Scarlet Water, and The Wind n' Sand Blues quests.

To complete all four quests, you'll have to reach HR 100. If you're a beginner, it will take you plenty of time to reach this level. However, all quests mentioned in this guide are permanent additions, so you can take your time.

Image via Capcom Once all the quests are done, speak with Alma at a base camp to get Proof of a Hero in the list of optional quests. You can complete Proof of a Hero with other hunters, but they will all have to be at HR 100. Speaking with Alma is a simple task that you might overlook. Until you do so, the Proof of a Hero will never show up for you to complete.

The Proof of a Hero quest requires defeating four Arch-Tempered monsters.

• Arch-Tempered Rey Day (appears first)
• Arch-Tempered Uth Duna (appears second)
• Arch-Tempered Nu Udra (appears third)
• Arch-Tempered Arkveld (appears fourth)

There are several rewards to obtain if you manage to complete Proof of a Hero.

• Unique nameplate that you can show off to your friends.
• 5000 Guild Points
• Gemma Certificates
• Zenny
• A unique pendant that you can get from Alma
• Timeworm Charms
• Battle-tempred emblems

While the rewards are lucrative, this is the hardest task to complete in my books. Hence, only attempt to complete it if you're ready and have the proper setup.
