New Star Wars: Battlefront Classic botches launch

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection ******* to leave a good first impression as its large fanbase is left waiting for their turn to get into an available server. There are also bugs, glitches, and stutters.

Battlefront Classic Collection hit store shelves and almost immediately, Aspyr — who brought forth the superb Tomb Raider I-III Remastered — showed that it didn’t fully think through how many players would play. The game launched with three servers all capped at 64 slots, so about 200 players. Unfortunately for it, the original games were widely loved and many wanted to jump at recapturing the fun to be had, with nearly 10,000 players at launch on Steam. Right now,

Players are obviously happy with the $35 game, calling it “robbery” as many aren’t going to get the most out of it, or if they do it’ll be a long time before they can enter a match.

-Only has 3 servers that have 64 slots for a total of ~200 players.
-Multiplayer doesn’t work otherwise.
-Price Tag of 35 USD

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection does have local multiplayer and solo campaigns, but its servers have really hindered players’ enjoyment as its large team-based multiplayer was the real selling point for the Battlefront titles. We’re sure Aspyr will eventually fix it, but it might be too late at that point — the damage’s already done.
