During the Rekindling of the Flame Pt. 4 quest in Octopath Traveler 0, you'll have to find an herb called Avinea to help Jasper recover from his injuries before he and Lila will return to Wishvale.

and harvesting it from the Wishvale fields. When you speak to Zeph, he’ll tell you Avinea grows primarily in the Highlands, but it can also be bought in the Sunlands. Unlike other quests in

, though, the game doesn’t just lead you to the herb. Instead, you’re going to have to find it for yourself.

If you’d rather skip the hassle of travelling the wilds and fighting the monsters within them, you can purchase Avinea from a salesman in Sunshade. Travel to the town and head into the tavern, and look for an NPC wearing dark clothes with a feather sticking out of his hat. His title will be “Collector of Rare Items” and the only thing he’ll have for ***** is Avinea. He runs a tough bargain, though; you’ll need to fork over 20,000 Leaves, but you can also haggle with him to get it down to half that price.

, you can also find the herb in the Highlands. More specifically, you're going to want to head to Shepherds Rock, the small, quaint village in the mountains. Once you arrive, head north to Shepherds Rock Castle Square, the town's main district. In this map, just north of the water fountain, you'll see an NPC called Peddler of Diverse Goods sells Apinea—and no, that's not a typo. Although Apinea isn't the herb we’re looking for, you’re going to have to buy it nonetheless. After you purchase it, the NPC will tell you Avinea, the plant we are looking for, is out of season but still grows in the Cavern of Mists. Following this dialogue, the Avinea will then spawn in this cave. If you try to collect the herb before speaking to the NPC and buying the Apinea, you won't find it.

Head to the Cavern of Mists, which is located just north of Shepherds Rock off the North Shepherds Rock Pass trail. Once you reach it, look to the bottom-right corner of the cave, where an exclamation point can be seen on the map below. Interact with the glowing blue sparkle on the ground, and you'll pick up the Avinea.
