The Arcane Pickaxe in The Forge is a powerful pickaxe hidden behind a secret door with a padlock in World 1. Considering it's found in World 1 it has immensely powerful stats and it's one of the best pickaxes in the game. Here's how to find the Arcane Pickaxe in The Forge.

How to Find the Arcane Pickaxe in The Forge

The Arcane Pickaxe is locked behind a secret padlock door in World 1's cave that you can only access by completing the Bard's Guitar quest first. This is because the Bard's Guitar quest rewards us with the Unknown Key used to unlock the pickaxe. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to get the Arcane Pickaxe in The Forge:

1. Talk to the Bard at his campfire near Moro and accept his quest to find his lost guitar.
2. Follow our

   to find the guitar.
3. Bring the guitar back to the Bard to complete the quest and get the Unknown Key as a reward.
4. With the key, go into the World 1 cave and follow the video below to reach the locked gate and unlock it with the key by pressing E near the padlock.
5. Go inside to claim the Arcane Pickaxe.

Video by Destructoid The Arcane Pickaxe will be waiting for you behind the gate and you can unlock it by interacting with it and paying gold. It costs 125,000 gold to unlock it so you'll have to progress and farm some gold before you get it. I recommend just following the main questline to World 2 and finishing quests as well as claiming all the Index entries for new ores, monsters and crafted items. Once you have enough you can go back to the Arcane Pickaxe and buy it. The door will remain unlocked.
