Diamond Member Steam 0 Posted November 20, 2025 Diamond Member Share Posted November 20, 2025 Battlefield 6 was the top-selling video game in the U.S. in October 2025, This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up . However, it was followed closely by Pokémon Legends: Z-A — which might challenge for the top spot if one takes the unreported digital sales into account. Other sequels The Outer Worlds 2 and Little Nightmares 3 also made the list, as did Ninja Gaiden 4.October 2025 Dollar Sales, MillionsOct2024Oct2025ChangeTotal Video Game Sales (Projected to Total Market)$4,742$4,8853%Video Game Content (Physical & Digital Full Game, DLC/MTX and Subscription consumer spending across Console, Cloud, Mobile*, Portable, PC and VR platforms)$4,296$4,3591%Video Game Hardware$258$35136%Video Game Accessories$188$176-7% *Mobile spending provided by Sensor Tower “Battlefield 6 delivered blockbuster sales in October,” said Mat Piscatella, Circana’s senior director of video games. “Battlefield 6 debuted as the best-selling game of the year, became the best-selling title in franchise history, and produced the highest single month tracked full game dollar sales total of any video game in three years.” Other numbers of note on the sales chart are the hardware figures, which continue to climb upwards thanks to the launch of the Switch 2. The console all by itself continues to offset declines in every other console line, having sold 328,000 units in October. Piscatella noted that it’s 68% ahead of the sales rate of the original Switch. Worth noting as well is the continued growth of mobile spending, which went up by 10%. Sam Alune of Sensor Tower, Circana’s provider of mobile data, noted that casual game Gossip Harbor has continued to grow in popularity: “[It’s] increasing US revenue 12% over September.” A 9% increase in subscription spending also offset other declines, including that of the accessories marketCircana October 2025 | Top 20 best-selling games in the U.S.RankLastMonthRankTitlePublisher1NEWBattlefield 6Electronic Arts2NEWPokémon Legends: Z-A*Nintendo34Ghost of YoteiSony (Corp)42NBA 2K26Take-Two Interactive53EA Sports FC 26Electronic Arts65Madden NFL 26Electronic Arts7NEWThe Outer Worlds 2 This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up (Corp)8NEWLittle Nightmares IIIBandai Namco Entertaiment99Digimon Story: Time StrangerBandai Namco Entertainment101Borderlands 4Take-Two Interactive11NEWNinja Gaiden 4 This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up (Corp)1212EA Sports College Football 26Electronic Arts1314Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2*Nintendo1410Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice ChroniclesSquare Enix Inc (Corp)158Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds*****167Silent Hill: fKonami Digital Ent.1715Minecraft^Multiple Video Game Publishers186Helldivers IISony (Corp)1917Grand Theft Auto VTake-Two Interactive2020Red Dead Redemption IITake-Two Interactive *Digital sales not included for marked titles^ Digital sales on Nintendo platforms not included As Piscatella noted, Battlefield 6 was one of the biggest sellers of October — and indeed, of the last three years. One thing worth noting, though, is that Circana doesn’t get digital sales data of certain games, and only works with physical sales information. That could mean the distance between Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Battlefield 6 is smaller than the list might imply. The other games to make this list include other major sequels of the year, including Ninja Gaiden 4, The Outer Worlds 2 and Little Nightmares III. All of these games come from popular franchises with established fanbases, making their inclusion almost a matter of course (though still worth celebrating for their success, natch). The rest of the list doesn’t include many surprises in the form of *****-price boosts, though I expect that to change after ****** Friday.Circana October 2025: 20 best-selling games of 2025 so farRankLastMonthRankTitlePublisher1NEWBattlefield 6Electronic Arts21NBA 2K26Take-Two Interactive32Monster Hunter: WildsCapcom USA43Borderlands 4Take-Two Interactive54EA Sports College Football 26Electronic Arts65The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion: Remastered This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up (Corp)76Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up (Corp)87Madden NFL 26Electronic Arts98MLB: The Show 25^^Multiple Video Game Publishers1018Ghost of YoteiSony (Corp)119Elden Ring: NightreignBandai Namco Entertainment1215EA Sports FC 26Electronic Arts1310WWE 2K25Take-Two Interactive1411Kingdom Come: Deliverance IIPlaion1512Forza Horizon 5 This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up (Corp)1614Minecraft^Multiple Video Game Publishers1713Split FictionElectronic Arts1816EA Sports MVP Bundle (2025)Electronic Arts1917NBA 2K25Take-Two Interactive2019Helldivers IISony (Corp) ^ Digital sales on Nintendo platforms not included^^ Digital sales on Nintendo and Xbox platforms not included Battlefield 6 is the only new game of October to jump onto the YTD bestseller chart, meaning that Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s physical sales weren’t enough to crack the top 20. Ghost of Yotei also made a dramatic push up the list, likely thanks to the longer reporting ******* after its October 2 launch (the September launch ******* was through October 4). One curiosity worth noting is that Piscatella also posted This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up of the games that sold only one physical copy of the month. The list included Burnout Paradise, Incredibles 2: Rise of the Underminer and Spore.
