Okay, you've read the title, and I know what you're thinking: he's gone mad, off the rails, believes anything he sees. And some of that might be true, but a lot of folks—reputable leakers, mind you—believe that HL3 or something Half-Life-related is about to be announced.

And that is supposed to happen on Nov. 19—the 27th anniversary of Half-Life 1. Leakers, including folks at Insider Gaming, Tyler McVicker, and Gabe Follower, have all pointed out that Valve is cooking something related to its groundbreaking series, which is set to be announced in the coming weeks.

that Valve "isn't done with big announcements," after the Steam Machine reveal, indicating more is coming.

McVicker is a long-time Valve leaker and data miner, and has been claiming that the company is making a new Half-Life game for a long while now. Titled HLX in the files, this could be HL3 or a spinoff much like Alyx was, but it's Half-Life nonetheless.

, based on Steam's lack of a featured banner on the store page for about a month starting Nov. 18, suggests the company is preparing something huge to take its place.
The Autumn ***** happened two months earlier, which Valve said was "intentional," seemingly to free up space in November. Nov. 19 is the 27th anniversary of HL1's release, while tomorrow, Nov. 16, is the 21st anniversary of HL2.

These upcoming days are major dates in Half-Life history and the perfect time for a proper announcement. Now that we have the Steam Machine and Steam Frame coming, it could be that Valve is planning to release the game as a launch title for this new hardware. That's just my own assumption and theory because, as you could guess, I'm high as a kite on the hopium, because Half-Life 3 has to be my most anticipated title of all time.

There has never been a more opportune moment for Half-Life 3's release than now. Valve has a new engine, new hardware, and a new chance to push the industry forward, much like its previous HL titles have. In fact, this time Valve has the greatest opportunity to revolutionize the industry again, so long as it plays its cards right.

We are all a bit overhyped and ready to believe things when it comes to this game, but a lot of credible, reputable people are hinting at it, and everything proposed so far is too probable to just be a coincidence.

Or, so I would hope.
