In so many sci-fi settings, from Mass Effect to Warhammer 40k, humanity always plays the underdog. We just have this strange assumption that humanity's first contact with aliens involves said xenos invading us. Yet reality on our dirt ball of water shows that humanity sits atop the food chain, and in many ways, we are not benevolent rulers. So what happens when humanity encounters the non-human, and decides to conquer them?
