Image via Aggro Crab There's another way to get spores, which comes from the mushrooms. Spores appear on your stamina bar like other negative afflictions. They stack up based on when you take damage. If you're focused on completing the Tread Lightly badge, you should be careful when going near mushroom bombs. Ideally, you'll want to avoid any bomb that might appear on your path.

However, things are easier said than done, and you can end up getting spores. To get the Tread Lightly badge, it's okay to take occasional spore damage (under unavoidable circumstances). You're eligible for the badge as long as it doesn't grow above 25% until you have crossed Roots onto the next level.

Here's what you can do after being infected with spores. Use any healing items in your inventory the moment spores cross 10% (approximately). This can be Cure-All, which automatically heals all negative afflictions. Antidote is also known to work, and you can also heal yourself with Healing Root. Looking for them can also help you find a

That's pretty much every option you have when it comes to clearing Roots with 25% or less spore damage.
