Heavy rains were beginning Sunday morning as Tropical Depression Two caused the National Hurricane Center to issue a tropical storm warning for the Gulf coast of Mexico. There were no threats or expected tropical development near Florida or elsewhere in the Atlantic basin as Saharan dust blows across the region. The National Hurricane Center was also watching four tropical waves.
