Among the flurry of huge titles in 2023, Alan Wake 2 was one of the prime ones. This survival horror game from Remedy Entertainment took everyone by storm. So, a DLC request from the fans was evident. That’s why, shortly after the game’s success, two paid DLCs were confirmed by the company.

However, there are no solid release dates confirmed yet. All we know is that both DLCs of Alan Wake 2 are going to be launched somewhere in 2024. Amidst all of these, a fan has found an apparent teaser of those expansions.

Now, the interesting part is the word “FORTRESS,” which is carved on the front of the truck. It’s looking a bit intriguing, as the word looks so prominent, and it seems like it wants to inform us about something.

One fan has also expressed his wish that this uncanny detailing on the truck might be a teaser of the two upcoming DLCs, Night Springs and The Lake House.

The screenshot seemed to be of the Dark Place. This is a realm influenced by the mind, where creative acts of imagination have immense and nearly uncontrollable power. There are other speculations as well regarding the door of the truck, where the word “PURITY” is engraved. So, many think this purity might be linked to the Blessed organization, which many have seen traces of in other areas of the Dark Place.

Anyone who has played Alan Wake 2 will know The Dark Place is an incredibly confusing and misleading place based on the psyche of Alan, so it could be a teaser towards one of the two upcoming Alan Wake 2 DLCs, it could be a red herring, or it could just as easily be some simple environment design.

Talking about the DLCs, the first one that is going to be released is Night Springs. In this expansion, players will be allowed to play as several familiar characters while progressing in the Night Springs settings, which is a popular show in the Alan Wake universe.

The second one is going to be The Lake House, where players have to embark on a journey exploring a mysterious house in the shoes of two different characters, Alan Wake and Saga Anderson, in two different realities.

There is no confirmation of the release date of any DLC for the game. Let’s wait for concrete news from Remedy.
