PEAK, you’ll probably pick up a few Ticks. Ticks measure how much damage you've taken, and if you rack up many of them, your sojourn to the summit will come to a premature and gruesome end.

Luckily, getting rid of ticks in PEAK is a lot easier than it is in real life. Once you know how to render yourself tick-free, your trek to the roof of the world will become a lot less stressful.

How to remove Ticks in PEAK

that might spawn on your ascent. Some healing items only heal the Ticks you incur when you slip off the mountain and crack a few ribs, while others wash away the Ticks you get from status ailments like Poison or Frost. And a few are reliable cure-alls that burn away all the Ticks on you or a friend's person.

Here are all the items capable of removing Ticks in PEAK. We're still figuring out how every item in the game works, so there's a good chance that there are more than the ones we've listed.

Antidote

Cures 14 Ticks of Poison damage.

Bandages

Heals 12 Ticks of Physical damage.

Cure-All

Removes all status effects and heals to max stamina.

Faerie Lantern

Slowly removes Ticks from all players in a radius. Can run out of charge.

Heat Packet

Removes Ticks of Frost damage. Doesn’t stop it from affecting you.

Medkit

Fully heals Physical damage.

Thrown item. Releases spores that heal players of everything.

When should you get rid of Ticks in PEAK?

As you climb the mountain, you and your friends will get hurt, and you'll probably have to make a split-second decision about where to heal yourself. Should you use that Antidote to remove all those Poison Ticks you got from that funny-colored mushroom? Or should you soldier on and shun healing until you have no choice but to use that

Since all the healing items in PEAK work differently, think hard about your current situation before you decide to use one. If one of your party members' legs is more ice than flesh and blood, toss them a Heat Packet if they don't have one. If your entire party is barely hanging on (literally and figuratively), throw a Remedy ******* and get a huddle going. Survival's a case-by-case basis, so keep your wits and think hard before you act.
