You'll need to press each button a few times to position them correctly. If you accidentally press one too many times, a few extra activations will bring it back down to the bottom of the board, letting you repeat it until you get the right sequence.

Completing the Skull Rock's music note puzzle will help you advance through the "The Music's on the Walls" quest, revealing a second half to this sequence that closely mimics the first. The only difference is that you'll need to craft and use a Pixie Dust lantern to trap Peter Pan again before continuing.
