Here’s five things going on around Holmes and Wayne counties.

1. Food Truck Wednesdays

When: Noon-6 p.m. Wednesday, June 11

Where: Smithville Community Historical Society, 180 E. Main St., Smithville

What: Great Plains Bison Burgers will serve up its juicy and flavorful bison burgers, made with the finest ingredients and served with your choice of toppings and sauces.

Cost: Prices vary

2. Summer Trails Walk

When: Friday, June 13, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Where: Lake Memorial Park, 13367 County Road 100, Big Prairie

What: The Falls Prevention Program of Holmes & Wayne Counties are sponsoring Summer Trail Walks to promote the importance of daily physical activity and exercise to aid in the prevention of falls.

Cost: Free

3. Herm Cline Memorial Golf Scramble

The Herm Cline Memorial Golf Scramble to benefit the West Holmes Athletics will be held Friday, June 13.

When: 8 a.m. Friday, June 13

Where: Fire Ridge Golf Course, 1001 E. Jackson St., Millersurg

What: The event honors Cline’s legacy and supports West Holmes Athletics. Funds will support tournament meals, scholarships, new equipment and facility upgrades.

Cost: $300 per *********

4. Streetball Tournament

When: 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14

Where: Orr Park, 440 N. Elm St., Orrville

What: The event is a single-elimination Streetball 3-on-3 basketball tournament. There also will be an adult and youth skills challenge that features a 3-point contest and a three-person relay. Streetball 3 on 3 winners get $50 gift cards and Juneteenth Champion gold chains.

5. Berlin Summer Spectacular

When: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, June 14

Where: Downtown Berlin

What: An event-packed day of fun activities for the family, including a craft show, artisans, live music and kids day activities. Sponsored by Berlin Main Street Merchants.
