One Simple Issue Is Plaguing Marvel Rivals Lobbies, Even in Celestial

Marvel Rivals has been a smash hit, amassing a surprisingly large number of players in a record-breaking amount of time. It’s hard to believe that the game is not even a year old, and has already managed to enter the end of its second season, in addition to being quite a (mostly) enjoyable experience for players today.

It’s not without its faults, though. Marvel Rivals has players frustrated with recent changes and additions and the team’s refusal to implement certain features, such as a role ******.

It’s no secret that Marvel Rivals has a few too many issues. One of the major issues plaguing the game since its launch would be the fact that it lacks any form of role ******. In short, role queues should address one major, peculiar behaviour observed by players in the game.

That is, having everyone rushing to lock into a DPS unit instead of balancing out the team. While a full-DPS team may be quite beneficial at first, it becomes quickly apparent that a team must be well balanced in terms of all three criteria – heals, defense, and DPS.

One of the major mistakes players tend to make in Marvel Rivals is bringing in three DPS units to a team. Frankly speaking, two DPS units are more than enough for almost all compositions. This also forces the rest of the team to sort themselves into healers (Strategists) and tanks (Vanguards), which throws the team’s strategy off-balance.

The Vanguards have more work cut out for them in this way, which ultimately results in healers wasting more of their precious time healing tanks instead of putting up buffs and more.

All of this can be solved by simply bringing in a secondary tank, preferably of a different kind. This would lessen the effort put in by the Strategists, while simultaneously boosting a team’s overall flexibility and buffer capabilities.

In short, it allows a team to survive for longer. This is even more important once we take into consideration the fact that Vanguards have historically been more of a hybrid class in the game, which allows them to take on alternative roles as a secondary task.

As such, having 2 Vanguards in a team is absolutely essential, even for high-ranked players (including Celestial lobbies!).

There are several more issues to address

Marvel Rivals is not a perfect game. It suffers from a multitude of issues, even without considering the lack of a role ******. Perhaps the biggest complaint one might have regarding the game is its power creep.

Marvel Rivals ‘addresses’ this by releasing newer, stronger units, while the older, problematic ones get left behind in the dust. Furthermore, this also creates an unnecessary rush of players trying the next best hero, which can get tiring at times.
