turned on by default. Smart steering is an auto-pilot function, of sorts, helping players literally stay on track.

It’s a helpful feature for those who want it, but it’s not for everyone. Thankfully, it’s easy to toggle off. You can toggle it off by pressing X during the vehicle-selection screen, or it can be turned off from the pause menu mid-race.
