About the fatal car accident

According to the Department of Public Safety, the ****** occurred at 9:06 a.m., when Wilson’s 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan was heading west and collided with the rear of a 2015 Ford F-350 road construction vehicle that was stopped in the right lane with active warning signals. He was directing traffic into the left lane.

The impact sent the construction truck into the median, where it caught fire. Wilson’s vehicle came to a stop on the westbound shoulder.

Authorities confirmed Wilson was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene. The driver of the Ford truck sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the ******.
