Armchair detectives in Rockstar are pretty competent, and they require no introductions. From giving us spicy theories to leaks, the GTA 6 fanbase has to be on top. Just like that, another theory that surfaced surrounding the upcoming title, and it somehow makes sense.

If you have been an avid fan of Rockstar Games, you have probably seen every trailer for their games. However, have you ever noticed there’s a common connection with all of them? Well, that’s exactly why were are here today, so buckle up!

We have all seen the GTA 6 trailer that showcases the eye-catching “fun” physics and shiny new graphics. However, there are snippets from the narrative that hint at the plot of the story. Yes, we all know Jason and Lucia are meant to be a crime couple, but how will their story play out in the game?

On the r/GTA6 subreddit, a fan going by the user tag RogerRoger63358 put forward a theory. According to the idea, Rockstar has possibly showcased a major plot section from GTA 6. Duh, the trailer can have sections from the story, how’s that surprising? It’s just, Rockstar has a consistent record of featuring major plots.

In every Rockstar Games trailer, they’ve showcased major plots by foreshadowing them. For instance, if you watch the GTA IV trailer, you’ll see Niko beating up a generic guy. But it was Darko who was being beaten up. However, the entire plot of the game is more or less Nico looking for him. Is this not convincing enough? Well, there’s more.

There’s a section in the Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer where Thomas Downes spits on Arthur’s face. During the early game, do you remember that Thomas was sick? He was suffering from tuberculosis. If you ever wondered how Arthur got tuberculosis, this should draw you a clear picture. The answer was in front of your eyes all along.

Similar situations play out with other game trailers as well. In the GTA V trailer, you’ll see Trevor kicking a random guy, only to find out that it was Johnny Klebitz, from GTA IV: Lost and the Damned. In the Bully trailer, you’ll see a cutscene from the Russell boss fight, which happens after Gary betrays.

So, what is the major plot point that has been revealed in the GTA 6 trailer?

Some fans are drawing parallels between GTA 6 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Jason could be like Arthur Morgan, while Raul is the one-on-one rendition of Dutch. Maybe he won’t be delusional like Dutch, but his “plans” can surely put our deuteragonist into trouble. Some even speculate he’s part of the FBI.

Rockstar has generally focused on creating games with cliches from crime genre movies. The inspiration for each is seen in every Grand Theft Auto game, which makes the series special. A love letter to the crime-action genre. So any kind of betrayal is possible, and Raul is already giving fishy vibes.
