Daniel Knight, the Director of Kinetic Games and Lead Developer of Phasmophobia, said this announcement is the "start of something really exciting" and that the team "never could've imagined the incredible heights this game would reach when it launched five years ago."

This reveal didn't come with any details on what the movie will entail, so it's unclear how exactly this adaptation will play out. Phasmophobia doesn't have a whole lot of lore, nor does it have a comprehensive storyline, so there's plenty of room for the movie to get creative with it.
