Get Out, The Conjuring, M3GAN, Happy Death Day, Paranormal Activity, Insidious, and Halloween. More recently, it's also the studio that brought the Five Nights at Freddy's game to the silver screen and is actively working to develop Five Nights at Freddy's 2.

adaptation has landed in the right place.

Daniel Knight, the Director of Kinetic Games and Lead Developer of Phasmophobia, said this announcement is the "start of something really exciting" and that the team "never could've imagined the incredible heights this game would reach when it launched five years ago."

This reveal didn't come with any details on what the movie will entail, so it's unclear how exactly this adaptation will play out. Phasmophobia doesn't have a whole lot of lore, nor does it have a comprehensive storyline, so there's plenty of room for the movie to get creative with it. It'll be interesting to see what kind of approach Blumhouse takes with it.

"Working with Blumhouse and Atomic Monster marks an incredible new chapter for the game, and we can't wait to share more as the project develops," the lead developer also said.
