Bring the Ancient Centaur to Its Knees Using Lightning in Elden Ring Nightreign

Elden Ring Nightreign brings with it a co-op twist to the already well-established Elden Ring/Soulsborne formula, and with great success. The title has been rocking player charts as of late and is generally a fun experience.

One of the major additions to the game is the presence of bosses, which must be challenged together. The Champion of Nightglow (also known as Fulghor), is one of the many bosses you will face here, and requires a very specific strat – which can be found explained in detail below.

How to beat Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow, in Elden Ring Nightreign

The Champion of Nightglow, Fulghor, is one of the many Nightlords you will face in Elden Ring Nightreign. To reach him, players must first defeat Gladius in the Tricephalos Expedition.

Fulghor is unlocked during the third day of your expeditions, in particular, during the events of the Darkdrift Knight expedition.

This particular boss is no joke, and can decimate through ill-prepared players in an instant. One of the more important things to keep in mind here is that he is extremely vulnerable to Lightning damage, which can dish out a great amount of damage in addition to paralyzing him for a while.

As such, readers are recommended to bring Lightning-infused weapons to the fight. Clear Strongholds marked with the corresponding symbol before the third day, and you should have an easier time farming the weapons.

As far as his moveset is concerned, Fulghor may momentarily stop from time to time and charge up a special attack. This will be followed by a barrage of Holy Spears at the player, so make sure to interrupt him by casting Lightning damage.

There is no restriction on the usage of these ‘interrupts’, so use them to your advantage. Additionally, hitting him mid-combo will also apply Impair, letting you deal even more damage.

The Holy Spears can be fatal, and must be dodged in time.

Fulghor also has two more moves at his disposal. The first of which is a shockwave, released as soon as the swing of his sword ends. The shockwaves can travel a surprisingly large distance, so make sure to dodge them in time.

Fulghor can also quickly move around the battlefield and shorten the gap between him and the player(s) with a jump attack. This is usually preceded by a stance change, wherein he raises his weapon.

That covers the first phase of this particular Elden Ring Nightreign boss. The second phase is a lot trickier. Fulghor grows back his missing arm here, and immediately follows it with a shockwave. Roll and dodge to avoid the impact.

The second phase is largely similar to the first one, with the exception of increased range, effectiveness, and speed of his attacks. Avoid being hit and dodge as and when necessary.

The second phase is often interrupted by a slam attack, wherein Fulghor slams his fist into the ground, which can easily be dodged. As far as classes are concerned, try using the Revenant.

All rewards obtained from beating Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow

You can obtain the Night of the Champion Relic by defeating Fulghor. This relic has the following effects:

• Boosts maximum stamina
• Guard Counter is boosted, depending on the current HP value
• A Thrusting Counterattack will restore some HP

The Night of the Champion is also a unique Relic. It has a green color, and like most other Relics obtained from bosses, these are incredibly potent and worth farming for.
