Westbound lane of I-86 near Lowman exit closed after ******, emergency responders on scene

Traffic on Interstate 86 in southeastern Chemung County has been restricted following a major ******.

The collision took place just east of Exit 58 (Lowman) and resulted in total closure of the westbound lane. Eastbound traffic was restricted to one lane, and vehicles traveling east were backed up about half a mile.

The ****** was initially reported around 12:30 p.m. June 2. Units from the New York State Police and Chemung County Sheriff’s Office were on the scene, along with several fire trucks and ambulances. As of 1:50 p.m. there was no word yet if there were any casualties as a result of the ******.
