The man himself has been a part of making prized franchises like The World Ends With You, Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts. However, let’s not get taken over by sorrow; he should be celebrated for his accomplishments and all he has provided to us gamers.

Tatsuya Kando spent his career giving life to characters that we love and adore. From his first debut as a character animator for Final Fantasy 7 (1997) to director for NEO: The World Ends With You (2021). This is a throwback to the hit projects Kando has given to enrich our lives.

Tatsuya Kando has spent almost three decades at Square Enix to ensure people get the best. Having his humble beginning in 1997 with Final Fantasy 7, Kando quickly became a major part of the team. If you’ve played Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts titles, Kando was behind most of them as the animation director.

Kando’s biggest career break has to be his work as the director of The World Ends With You and the series director for NEO: The World Ends With You. The vibrant showcase of Shibuya might be the peak of his career, and that’s how it should remain after his departure.
