Before we dive into the new world of Elden Ring Nightreign, let’s take a trip to the past. Back in 2022, when Elden Ring had just come out, one of its bosses, Starscourge Radahn, was considered to be the hardest boss in gaming. It went so out of hand that even FromSoftware agreed to nerf the boss, and thus began the celebration of those players who were able to beat him before the nerfing patch.

Back in the present day, despite being called unreasonably hard, a dedicated player of Elden Ring Nightreign is now taking it upon themselves to defeat all the Nightlords, that too, solo (and has succeeded). The race is not against other players, but against time, as another few nerfs by the studio remain inevitable, with some of the changes already taking place.

For co-op players, FromSoftware’s latest release can be a bit too much, especially considering there is no way to communicate with your fellow players but to use the pinging system of the game as a last resort. And it only becomes worse in case you decide to dive into Limveld as a sole warrior.

To put it in simple words, the balancing of the game, despite the director’s efforts, is not what it should’ve been like. Knowing that nerfs to bosses and balancing patches would soon be flowing in from FromSoftware, a player of the game has soloed every single Nightlord of the game, and he celebrated by posting it on the game’s subreddit.

Nightreign becomes playable | FromSoftware

Elden Ring Nightreign, in true Souls fashion, is a bit too hard when compared to normal video game standards. However, maybe this time around, the balancing is so off that the studio needs to step in and find a fix, like they did back in the day with Radahn.

In the game’s latest patch, FromSoftware has already brought some improvements for Solo play, introducing one free life to Solo players, allowing them to be revived once during a Night battle. Furthermore, the studio has also increased the Rune collection ability of the player, hence allowing them to level up faster.

Unfortunately, the above remains a temporary fix. There are deeper issues with the game that need to be explored, both in co-op and solo play. One of these is the lack of crossplay between platforms, which limits the matchmaking ability of Elden Ring Nightreign players by miles.
