This standalone title was just released a few days ago, and the entire Soulslike community is loving every aspect of it. While Elden Ring Nightreign features a variety of classes from the start that players can choose their character from, there are two hidden characters that can only be unlocked if you’re willing to go through some trouble. Of course, we are talking about the Revenant and the Duchess. Let’s find out how to unlock them. Why do you need the two hidden classes in Elden Ring Nightreign Elden Ring Nightreign is a roguelike action role-playing game that introduced a total of eight characters (known as Nightfarers) that players can choose from and play as. Although six of the Nightfarers were already unlocked from the start, the Revenant and the Duchess are two of the hidden Nightfarers who can be yours if you put in the legwork. The Duchess is a dexterity/magic-focused character who is a god at dodging attacks. Her passive dodging ability enables her to literally backflip away from bosses’ attacks. She is a support character in the game, and she doesn’t have that much health, where strong enemies can even one-shot her, but she’s great at chipping away damage with her Restage skill. The Revenant, on the other hand, is a summoner class character that focuses on using necromancy to summon ghostly allies into battle. Like the Duchess, she is also a support character in the game, and her ultimate is a ghastly scream that does a little bit of AoE damage, revives near-death allies, and makes them invincible for a while. How to unlock the Duchess in Elden Ring Nightreign This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up | Image Credits: FromSoftware To unlock the Duchess, you need to defeat the first nightlord, Tricephalos, a.k.a Gladius, Beast of Night, and if you manage to fail at that, then don’t worry, because even just attempting to defeat the beast will give you the necessary item to unlock the Duchess. After defeating Tricephalos, you will receive the Old Pocketwatch item, which you can bring back to the Roundtable Hold and give to the Priestess. That will trigger a short cutscene where the Duchess will be introduced, and she will be permanently available to you when choosing your character. How to unlock the Revenant in Elden Ring Nightreign This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up | Image Credits: FromSoftware Unlike the Duchess, unlocking the Revenant is a little bit of a hassle, but doable in every sense. To start the process, first you need to have unlocked the Duchess. Then, at the Roundtable Hold, head to the Small Jar Bazaar and scroll down to find a new item called the Bismirched Frame, which will cost you 1500 Murk. Like the Old Pocketwatch, this frame is also a relic, and buying it will spawn a ghost in the Roundtable hold. After locating the ghost, interacting with it, and it will teleport you to an arena, where you’ll have to fight the Revenant and her summons, and after besting her in combat, the Revenant will be unlocked as a playable character.
