Porongurup rescue: Man suffers medical episode while climbing Castle Rock

A rescue operation is unfolding in WA’s Great Southern.

WA Police, St John WA and the SES are responding to the incident after reports a man, aged in his 70s, suffered a medical episode while climbing Castle Rock, in Porongurup, about 1.40pm on Monday.

The West *********** understands he was not hiking alone.

Castle Rock trail is about 4.7km long and takes up to three hours to hike.
