The recently launched Season 2.5 update (released May 30, 2025) brought six flashy new team-up attacks, but we’re here to talk about the most broken and chaotic one. And of course, it’s the Jeff-Nado. Jeff the Land Shark and Storm just got a new Team-Up that combines their ultimate and makes it even crazier. But you know what makes it even wilder? NetEase didn’t remove Storm’s previous team-up with the Human Torch, and it means exactly what you think. Storm can now pull off two team-up ultimates, and yes, it’s as broken as it sounds. Storm just got a new wombo combo in Marvel Rivals Let’s break this down. The Jeff-Nado just came out as part of Marvel Rivals’ Season 2.5 update. The new update didn’t just give us Ultron and new balance changes; it also added six new team-up attacks. But the Jeff-Nado has stolen the spotlight. It’s like Sharknado crashed into the Marvel Universe, and no, you’re not dreaming. But the worst part is that it works with Storm’s other team-up, too. Storm’s original team-up with Johnny Storm (the Human Torch) was already a strong combo in the meta. With the Storming Ignition team-up, Storm’s ultimate merges with Torch’s fiery powers and creates a blazing tornado that turns any enemy caught in it to ash. When timed right, it could erase an entire team. But now it can do that and more. One user, AstroMelonXD_, described how Storm hit their team with both team-ups simultaneously: Jeff’s swirling Jeff-Nado and Torch’s fiery hurricane. The result? Total team wipes. “God help us all,” they wrote. But is it even the most broken thing in Season 2.5? This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up 2.5 has a lot of big changes. | Image Credit: NetEase Games Mechanically, these combos are no joke. Storm’s hurricane has always been strong for locking down choke points or capturing objectives, but now, when paired with Jeff, you have even more crowd control. It’s a known fact that Jeff’s ult is completely broken, on purpose, too, with how NetEase has handled balancing. It’s wild to think Storm, who was already one of the meta characters at the start of the game, is still getting busted updates like this. Of course, the way Marvel Rivals is balanced makes it so that almost every character is broken in some way. So there’s no guarantee whether this will be the most broken thing in this patch. With Season 2.5 only just launched, we’ll have to see if the developers decide to adjust Storm’s double combo potential. For now, if you’re a Storm player, go have fun with these new changes. It’d work best if you have friends who will play Jeff and Human Torch.
