Kind of contradictory and weirdly brutal, but whatever floats FromSoftware’s boat. Revival has always been a crucial aspect of multiplayer titles, and its importance becomes paramount in Elden Ring Nightreign, where you have Souls bosses trying to kill you while you try to lend your hand to a fallen soldier. The mechanic is easy to perform, but what if there were a way to speed up the process? Speed is key in Nightreign, and with great mobility comes great revival. Be swift, or hit hard to revive teammates faster in Elden Ring Nightreign Nightreign spins an exciting twist on the way you die to bosses, except you don’t completely die when you’re downed. The typical Elden Ring experience would be to try first-trying the boss, get hit, die, and repeat the process. However, in Elden Ring Nightreign, you can be revived thanks to your teammates. There’s a short window to get revived, which is indicated by a blueish gauge above your character when you’re downed. On night bosses, the gauge has no timer until your entire team is knocked out, resulting in a failed run. It’s only a taste of how harsh the death penalty is in Elden Ring Nightreign. The good news is, you can revive your teammates by hitting them to deplete the gauge meter and bring them back to life. Now, attacks cost stamina, and you can’t focus on revival when bosses are near. Hence, strategise your approach very carefully. You can be quick, dual-wield katanas, or one-handed swords to hit your teammates as fast as possible. Make sure you have enough stamina to get out as quickly as you can lest a boss take notice of your attempt to revive fallen teammates. Alternatively, you can hit harder to deplete the gauge meter with fewer hits. Slower weapons use more stamina and are prone to more danger if the bosses are quicker than you are. Charge your attacks to get your teammates back on their feet with fewer hits. The best and quickest way to revive your teammates is by using ranged weapons such as bows and crossbows. It’s faster, convenient, and you don’t need to be close to your teammates to revive them. Get your dodge timings right and shoot your teammates to get them up in no time. Additionally, if the boss is way too close to your teammates, just pop the ultimate. Wylder’s ult, Onslaught Stake, or Guardian’s ult, Wings of Salvation, deal massive stagger damage, which can simultaneously deal damage to the boss as well as hit your teammates with enough power to revive them. Think again! | Image Credit: FromSoftware Elden Ring Nightreign’s fast-paced gameplay loop makes death even more terrifying as compared to the previous game’s much slower pace. So, you need to make sure that you’re not close to danger’s sharp claws while you’re getting your teammates back on their feet with the methods above. Before you This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up , know that it’s not your usual Soulslike, so certain elements are different and more punishing. Keep moving, make sure you use your new traversal mechanics efficiently, and strategise your approach with whichever class you choose. Dying in this game will lead to absolute doom if your efficiency runs out, so it’s not a viable option to keep doing it unless you want to get demoted to lower levels, then, please, by all means. If you don’t have teammates, not to worry, since there’s a self-revive feature in the game. With that being said, help yourself, offer your teammates a shoulder to rely on, and seize the night together or alone. Elden Ring Nightreign is now available on all platforms.
