As the Witcher 3 continues to achieve new heights, CD Projekt Red is already looking at the future. The developer is currently working hard on The Witcher 4. Fans got their first look at the upcoming game back during The Game Awards 2024. The CGI trailer confirmed that Ciri will take Geralt’s mantle as the main protagonist for the new adventure.

Fans can’t wait to see how Ciri jumps into the role of a full-fledged monster slayer and how she will shape The Witcher 4‘s plot and gameplay. Considering the success of previous entries and the disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077, there’s a lot of pressure on CD Projekt Red to get things right and maintain the level of quality the studio was once known for.

As of now, CD Projekt Red hasn’t revealed any launch details for the upcoming Witcher game. There’s no official release or platform for The Witcher 4. What’s confirmed is that the title will only move into full-scale production at the tail end of 2024, and based on the studio’s Match 2025 earnings
