Civilization VI will release a major update on Android bringing over all missing content

• The latest update will release on June 12th

Aspyr is finally bringing Android users up to speed with the rest of the Civilization VI world. On June 12th, the Android version of Sid Meier’s Civilization VI will receive a major update that adds long-missing features, maps, and content, putting it on par with every other platform. Alongside the update, two major expansions will also be available for purchase on Android for the first time.

To kick things off, the update introduces three new units. Trebuchets now fill the gap between Catapults and Bombards, Man-at-Arms give your melee line a stronger Medieval-era presence, and Line Infantry bridge the transition from Musketmen to late-game Infantry. These additions help fill progression gaps, giving you better tactical options at every stage.

You’ll also be able to explore four new maps, including a large-scale Mediterranean and a massive Earth map, each with variants that place your civilisation in its historical capital. For fans of alternative rule sets, the Tech and Civic Shuffle and Barbarian Clans modes are making their way to Android as well. These introduce some much-needed unpredictability.

The update further introduces long-requested features like Natural Wonder and City-State Pickers, letting you customise your world generation, along with the Leader Selection Pool and new leader Julius Caesar. Plus, over 50 bugs will be fixed, and multiplayer performance gets a solid boost.

Starting June 12th, Android users can expand their campaigns even more. The New Frontier Pass ($29.99) adds eight civilisations, nine leaders, and six fresh game modes. And finally, the Leader Pass ($19.99) introduces 12 new leaders, plus alternate takes on some fan-favourite rulers.
